Sometimes Success Comes Differently Than Expected

We, along with a young Sister Missionary companionship, have been working with a family that stopped coming to church 9 years ago.  The wife/mother was offended by someone in authority and refused to come from that day.  It is possible that the person that offended her didn't even realize that she took offense.  We don't know who it was and don't need to know. The rest of the family followed her into inactivity.  She is a wonderful woman, pleasant and interesting to speak with.  She is pretty open concerning her reluctance in coming back.  We started working with them about two months ago.  We stopped by their house and visited, always leaving a message of hope and understanding.  Sometimes we read scripture with them.  We always prayed for them and left a blessing on their home and family. We Did a Little Exploring today

Yesterday we noted that we are returning to normal after having been sick one and then the other for several weeks.  I haven't missed any Sunday meetings, but Sister Black did miss last week.  We're feeling pretty good today. This morning we went to Beaumont for a doctor appointment.  It was just a "how-are-you-doing" check in.  Nothing to write about. But, since this is preparation day we decided to see if we could find the Gulf of Mexico on our way back from Beaumont.  So we did.  We went to Bolivar Peninsula and across to Galveston on the ferry  and then back home.  Bolivar Peninsula was interesting.  We found houses on stilts. And they are all this way on the peninsula, even the business ares built on stilts.  Some of them are 20-25 ft off the ground.  Some of them have elevators they can pull up to avoid the water when it gets high.  But when we got to Galveston they are all built as we generally see them elsewher...
