Update 10/29/2018

Update 10/23/18

Well, surprises abound! 76 days until we report to the Provo MTC.. On Friday, the lovely and talented Sister Black received an Email message from the MTC wanting to schedule her for some language training in Spanish.  We didn't know that we were called to serve as Spanish speaking missionaries.  There was nothing in our letter that indicated we would speak anything other than the language we grew up learning, which we call "English".  So.... I called the mission office of T.H.E. mission and spoke with a nice young lady who told me that the information they received is that we would serve in Spanish assignments.  She recommended that I contact the Missionary Department, which I did.  I spoke with three nice young ladies (one at a time) who passed me around until I could speak to someone who had the information I was looking for.  Their information also was "English" speakers to work in Spanish assignments. Waiting for a Mission Call

The Mission Call We’re waiting for a mission call. We’ve done our physicals all. We’ve visited our Bishop And our Stake President, too. Our temple recommends have been renewed. We’ve purchased some clothing in anticipation, And we’ve received our passports with great expectation. We’ve contacted family and friends; We’ve told our landlord our lease will end. Our application has been sent, we know that it went; We’ve done all we can do and now we await its advent. AND it is HERE! We’ve been called to serve in T.H.E.* Mission! We report to the MTC on 7 Jan 2019 *T.H.E. means “Texas Houston East”.
